Science and art intersect in the exploration of space. Seeing the far reaches of space relies on studying light, and artists help convey the beauty and complexity of the cosmos.
This grant funded program included an in-school presentation on how scientists use light to investigate the universe. Following the show, we loaned a set of hands-on activiites on light to the art teacher. Additionally, we partnered with art teachers in the creation of student art that was be displayed in our Illuminate: Space exhibit at the MESS Hall in April 2025.
This program was supported by funding from NASA’s Universe of Learning.
