Beach and Beyond
This grant has now been completed as of September 2026. Thank you to all who registered for the program. We hope it brought your students new ides and a fresh perspective about our Gulf!
We bring a show and 6 hands-on stations to your school, suitable for grades 3-6. Program begins with a 30 minute interactive show. Following the show, two classrooms at a time rotate through hands-on activities for one hour.
Funded by the Gulf Research Project of the National Academy of Sciences.
Each event includes:
- A 30 minute show
- Up to 4 hours of hands-on activities for 2 classrooms at a time (1 hour for each set of students)
What you will provide:
- Auditorium or cafeteria for presentation
- Activity space for 6 hands-on stations for up to 50 students at a time – this could be a cafeteria space, science room, or two adjacent classrooms.
- Volunteers (teachers or others) to help with the stations.

Pricing
Program is presented at no cost to schools through grant funding. Typically pricing would be $350 for one show. $150 for each additional show.
